SIB 2013 – 8.-14.juli
SIB, short for sketches in Movement (Bevegelse), is a yearly event situated in Hamar city, Norway. This is a place where both regional, national and international dance artists have contributed through artistic expression in previous years. SIB is a platform for artistic exchange, competence, networking and viewing of dance. Our vision is to be local to “become” international we want to pin Hamar to the map and to grow interest and curiosity in favour of the art of dance.
SIB is directed by Astrid Groseth, Annette Brandanger and Marte Reithaug Sterud. This year there will be two artistic projects, which will work simultaneously during the six days. On day seven all participants will showcase the work they have researched at a matinee performance.
1. SIB LAB
(ORATORIUM)
SIB LAB
(ORATORIUM) will be aiming to engage creative dance artists who are interested
in exploring their movement vocabulary further, in meeting with choreographer.
This year Marianne Kjærsund and Annette Brandanger & Sua Rusten will lead two
parallel Projects. These will develop as two separate projects. However, there
will be a shared process where dialogs and workshops bind them together to
discus and reflect over the choreographic practice.
Marianne
will be working on the phenomena “groove”. She will be leading a research on how we find this groove in our self,
in a collective and how spectators perceive it? Annette and Sua will play with
strength and agility with a key element of trust. They will be looking at
elements within martial arts and acrobatics composing and creating material.
A result of
the work will be shown at Hamar Teater, Sunday the 14th of July at
15:00pm
