Soon there will be a new "kulturhus" in Hamar. This is exciting news for the dance sector. We are hoping that this will open new opportunities for a colourful dance platform in Hamar.
Since 2009 Skisser in Bevegelse has established a dance platform in Hamar, attracting national and international dance artists with high professional standard. SIB have had it's base at Hildes Ballet studio and recent years we have also used the facilities at Hamar Teater in the Heart of Hamar and received support of facilities from Teater Innlandet.
Practitioners from UK, Slovenia, Switzerland, Sweden, Australia an Spain have all contributed with their artwork at SIB. We have had practitioners from Laban Centre London, Freelance choreographers, site specific artists, professional dancartists, local artists and many more.
SIB is supported and funded by FFUK, Hedmark fylkeskommune, Hamar kulturkontor, Hamar Teater, Teater Innlandet, Hildes Ballettstudio and Vikingskipet Motell.
We have our hopes up...
Hamar kulturhus will be a thriving platform for dance!!!!!
